According to the sources, after the China visit of Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir and advice of the Chinese leadership, the political atmosphere in Islamabad changed and negotiations between the PDM Government and the PTI started surprisingly, the second round of which also ended with positive sign on Friday and the final and decisive round on Tuesday.

According to the Chinese’s diplomatic sources, the visit of Army Chief General Asim Munir to China has been extremely successful and during this visit, the status quo in relations between the two countries has been broken. The role of the establishment will also be balanced and the country’s political and economic stability.

China was concerned about the change of government in April, 2022 and political and economic instability in Pakistan, due to which the relations between the two friendly countries were stagnant for the past one year, but the visit of the Army Chief will not only break the stalemate, but revival of CPEC and more sixty billion dollars Chinese investment in other projects also expected.

China is a close strategic, economic and all weather friend of Pakistan. But after last year regime change in Pakistan, China showed concern about the role and mysterious policies of the new government. China also showed the security concerns of its citizens in Pakistan and pace of work on flagship projects of CPEC.

The Chinese diplomatic sources said that China is not satisfied by the non-seriousness of present governments’ policies regarding CPEC related projects and other strategic issues. The sources said that in  April 2022 governmental level changes in Pakistan, China does not feel easy to work with Pakistan on regional and global issues.

Pakistan, China are all-weather strategic, economic friends and CPEC is a game changer project not only for both countries, but for the whole region.CPEC is starting point or gate way for Built Road Iniative(BRI) project of China.BRI is vision of Chinese President Mr Xi Jinping ,which will connect over 100 countries i.e. up to Eastern Europe.

China also plays a very positive role to give relief in any difficult time to Pakistan, even recently the Chinese financial consortium gave over USD two billion and  China renewed the RMB 15 billion (US $ 2.3 billion) syndicate facility.

On the diplomatic front China also vetoed many resolutions against Pakistan in the UN General Assembly and Security Council..

Economic cooperation had become a mainstay of the wide-ranging, Pakistan-China partnership. Growing bilateral trade and financial linkages, with China’s unstinting support playing an invaluable role in helping Pakistan offset external shocks to the global economy and demonstrating the continued resilience of Pakistan-China cooperation at a time of heightened uncertainty on the world stage.

CPEC and growing economic linkages had deepened the roots of the abiding friendship between the peoples of both countries. Atop this unshakable foundation, the Pakistan-China partnership would continue to play its valuable role as a factor of peace and stability in the region and beyond.
