TARBELA GHAZI: Former president Peshawar Press Club and PFUJ President Shamim Shahid said that after the revolution of social media, print and electronic media have become on the path of decline in Pakistan, social media can be a great source of income for a regional journalist, but he has to make and maintain his credibility for it because the popularity of social media has converted the direction of journalism.
Shamim Shahid said this while talking the journalist community who were gathered here at Ghazi at the resident of well-known journalist Karim Khan Lala who had hosted a lunch in the honor of senior journalists and members of the press in Peshawar, former president Peshawar Press Club and PFUJ President Shamim Shahid, President Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Union of Journalists Shams Momand, General Secretary Ibrahim Shinwari and well-known Pashto poet and journalist Fazal Momand and members of Press Club Ghazi. Quality and importance of journalists & journalism is on decline due to the uncontrolled & uncensored social media activities, he maintained.
General Secretary Press Club Peshawar Ibrahim Shinwari said that journalism running behind social media hash tags and viral videos are losing their place, many government and court decisions in Pakistan are the results of social media pressure.
Fazl Momand said that main stream electronic and print media is actually the name of both journalism and business but it is a profession in which avoidance of lies, propaganda and sentimentality is essential whereas journalism in Pakistan, especially the journalism sector of Urdu language is moving away from these value as the influence of social media is over coming on it.
At the end, visiting journalist guests also distributed media jackets among the members of Press Club Ghazi.

WANA: Security forces inaugurated the Wana Fitness Club to improve health and fitness activities in Lower South Waziristan district.
After the inauguration, the Mr Championship was held, A talent hunt for boxers was also organized in which various boxers showcased their boxing skills.
Each individual was given cash prizes to appreciate their talent and encourage them to improve further.
Locals appreciated the efforts of the security forces for providing a platform for fitness activities.On the other hand, the tribal elders said that organizing a fitness club for health and wellness by the security forces is a welcome and positive step.They said that apart from development projects in the area of security forces, promoting the health and fitness activities of the youth is equivalent to a worthy grandfather.
