Dance,aerial firing in Eunuch programe at Ghazi:Many detained

TARBELA GHAZI: The orders of the Deputy Commissioner and DPO Haripur were blown up in the dance of the eunuchs and in aerial firing, four people were detained, three pistols and a sound system were seized.

According to sources, aerial firing fireworks, unnecessary use of loudspeakers and obscene gatherings of transgenders is banned across the district. But taking full advantage of the administration’s weak grip, enthusiasts from other areas come to Ghazi to fulfill their passion.

Last night too, a few influential people from the other district organized a birthday ceremony of an eunuch (Khawaja sara) named Sweeti in a local wedding hall at Ghazi.

A large number of eunuchs (Khawaja saras) and their lovers from Swabi, Mardan, Peshawar and Attock participated in the birthday ceremony. Cake was cut late at night and wild music was played at the occasion, dancing, fireworks and aerial firing had made so much noise as hill was dropped in the area.

Meanwhile, two groups of lovers of two eunuchs named Sweety and Priya got into a fight, shouting and cross-firing in an attempt to deny the right of friendship to other.

The local residents told that, on receipt of information of the incident police reached at the spot, they lodged an FIR under loudspeaker act and aerial firing against the owner of the wedding hall and the sound system, four people were detained, three pistols and a sound system were seized.

It was also learnt that the organizers of the program and people responsible were given the opportunity to be escaped likewise instead taking any strict action, the program organizers and transgender have been completely excluded from legal action and FIR and formalities were fulfilled by lodging an FIR against the owner of the wedding hall and the sound system. The police told that the owner of the said marriage had already been warned and given notice for not organizing such programs.
