WASHINGTON -UNS: Former Federal Minister for Population Welfare and Convener World Minorities Alliance (WMA), Julius Salik also J. Salik on Friday demanded the government of Pakistan to give Hindu minorities of the country to fight the Kashmir Case before India for the just right to freedom of innocent Kashmiris.
Recalling his conscious shaking speech 26 years back at the floor of the National Assembly in 1996, Salik said he had queried the lower house of the parliament that how the legislature of the country wanted to put pressure on India through the forum of this august house.
Salik said, “It is better to give representation to the Hindu minority representatives who will influence the oppressors, the fanatic leadership of India. The parliament has failed to educate its members on the Kashmir Issue.”
The human rights defender added that the Parliament is a supreme forum that reads, makes and writes history. “The statements made by certain members of the Parliament weaken the narrative of Pakistan on Kashmir at international level. India’s case in contrast to that is strong as it has made an excellent presentation of its case and amicably propagated human rights issues internationally.”
J. Salik underlined that Pakistan had a genuine and fact based narrative but its presentation was unsuitable. “There are over 400 million Muslims in India who are part of the government and businesses but we failed to educate them on lobbying for the peaceful resolution of Kashmir cause,” he added.
It was, he said a matter of innocent people, our nation, of humanity and human rights. “The issue of Kashmir presented only as that of Muslims which is not as they are minorities in India. Pakistani Hindus should be sent to India to educate Muslims on Kashmir issue as they accepted to live in Pakistan against the Brahmans who degraded them as lesser beings,” he added.
The elected Hindu representatives of Pakistan would educate the Hindutva regime that their violence in India against Muslims brought repercussions against Hindus in Pakistan as they had their temples, sacred religious places and sites there, he said.
J. Salik suggested that a peace ministry should be created to exclusively handle Kashmir Issue. Moreover, Pakistan should convene an international minorities conference including Hindus from all over the world for this cause, adding, “In order to achieve this cause, Pakistan should appoint Christian ambassador to the United States to educate and influence American government, leadership of its key international organisations like World Bank, IMF and US Congressmen. They have the capacity to help divert their perceptions of Pakistan towards a positive and progressive direction that could help to overcome it’s prevailing crisis،” he said.
