Makkah, Saudi Arabia -UNS: The Makkah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in collaboration with the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), organized the “National Pakistan Week” — a major event aimed at enhancing bilateral economic cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
The event drew the participation of high-ranking officials, diplomats, and prominent business leaders from both countries, highlighting the growing importance of economic ties between the two nations.

In his keynote address, Mr. Atif Ikram Shaikh, President of the Makkah Chamber, emphasized the significance of hosting the forum in Makkah, calling it a testament to the “exemplary and strategic” relationship between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
“Pakistan and the Kingdom are partners in prosperity and in times of challenge,” he said. “The Pakistani community contributes significantly to the Kingdom’s development and to Pakistan’s economy. This event is a step toward further deepening trade and investment ties between our private sectors.”
Echoing these sentiments, Mr. Muhammad Nasser Al-Ahmari, Secretary-General of the Makkah Chamber, described the event as a strategic platform for mutual growth.
“Pakistan Week represents a valuable opportunity to unlock new dimensions of trade and investment cooperation. There is enormous potential for integration across key sectors, and we are committed to fostering stronger engagement between Saudi and Pakistani businesses,” Al-Ahmari stated.

Mr. Khalid Majeed, Consul General of Pakistan in Jeddah, reiterated Pakistan’s full diplomatic support for expanding trade with Saudi Arabia.
“The Pakistani government places the highest priority on its economic partnership with the Kingdom. Organizing National Pakistan Week in Makkah reflects our commitment to enhancing bilateral trade, and we stand ready to facilitate the entry of Pakistani products into the Saudi market,” he noted.
Private Sector Engagement and Vision 2030 Alignment
The forum featured extensive participation from private-sector representatives from both countries. Business leaders engaged in direct dialogue, exploring collaborative ventures and investment prospects in key sectors, including construction, agriculture, textiles, information technology, and halal food production.
