ISLAMABAD -UNS:The Speaker of the National Ably of Pakistan, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, received the Speaker of the Milli Majlis (National Assembly) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Madame Sahiba Gafarova, upon her arrival at Islamabad International Airport.
Madame Gafarova is visiting Pakistan to participate in the Third Trilateral Meeting of the Speakers of the Parliaments of Pakistan, Türkiye, and Azerbaijan, being hosted by the National Assembly of Pakistan.
The gracious reception underscored the deep-rooted ties of friendship and brotherhood between Pakistan and Azerbaijan, founded on shared values, mutual respect, and a long-standing tradition of cooperation across multiple sectors.
The Third Trilateral Speakers’ Meeting aims to further enhance parliamentary collaboration among the three brotherly nations. The agenda focuses on strengthening regional connectivity, promoting peace and stability, and advancing socioeconomic development through collective efforts.
Building upon the outcomes of the previous meetings held in Azerbaijan and Türkiye, this forum reaffirms the shared commitment of the participating countries to unity, regional progress, and prosperity.
Also present on the occasion was the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Pakistan, Mr. Khazar Farhadov.
