Youm-e-Shuhadas-e-Kashmir being observed with resolve to continue fight against Indian sponsored terrorism

ISLAMABAD (APP):The Kashmiris on both sides of Line of Control (LoC), including the rest of the world, on Sunday are observing the Youm-e-Shuhadas-e-Kashmir, 13 July 1931, when the then Dogra forces brutally martyred 22 Kashmiris in the princely state of Jammu and Kashmir in British India.

The Martyred Day is being observed on the call of All Parties Hurriyat Conference and supported by all pro-freedom leaders and organizations

It is pertinent to mention here that the Indian government had removed the observance of the day as an official holiday in December 2019. Yet the day is still marked by the Kashmiris living in the valley and across the world, including Pakistan, to continue their fight against Indian state-sponsored terrorism and brutality.

The government of Pakistan has issued various statements and messages to reaffirm its support for the Kashmir cause on the Martyred Day today.

All the electronic, radio, social media/digital media are filled with tributes paid to these Muslim protesters in the Kashmir valley.

To honour the martyrs, rallies, seminars, and conferences are being organized in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan, and major capitals across the world.

In Muzaffarabad, Kashmir Liberation Cell, in collaboration with the All Parties Hurriyat Conference AJK Chapter, is holding a public gathering followed by a rally.

Pasban-e-Hurriyat has also arranged a protest rally at Burhan Wani Shaheed Chowk.

Similarly, a smartly turned out Police contingent will present a salute at the Shuhada Monument as a mark of respect to the Shuhada who are buried in the graveyard located in the shrine of Khwaja Bahawuddin Naqshbandi in Srinagar, which has since come to be known as Mazar-e-Shuhada or the Martyrs’ Graveyard.
