ISLAMABAD -UNS: he Islamabad Sister Cities Initiative (ISCI) proudly organized the Mango Festival 2025 at the DIG Office Lawn in Islamabad’s Diplomatic Enclave, bringing together dignitaries, ambassadors, and delegates from 21 sister cities around the world. The festival celebrated Pakistan’s rich agricultural heritage and served as a dynamic platform for international diplomacy, cultural exchange, and people-to-people engagement.
The event welcomed high-level guests including ambassadors and representatives from Morocco, Algeria, Indonesia, Thailand, Palestine, Canada, the United States, the United Nations, and the GICC China delegation—highlighting Islamabad’s increasing global diplomatic footprint. Hosted by ISCI General Secretary Ms. Mehreen Tariq, the festival opened with a keynote address by Chairman Sajid Iqbal, emphasizing unity, diversity, and international friendship.
Distinguished speakers such as Mr. Murtaza Solangi (former Federal Minister for Information), the DIG Police, ICCI Vice President, and Press Club Secretary underscored the role of cultural diplomacy and sister-city cooperation in strengthening global ties. ISCI President Sadat Choudhary concluded the event by affirming the initiative’s dedication to meaningful international collaboration.
The festival also marked the valuable contributions of Mr. Shahzada Khurram, whose leadership and outreach helped secure the venue and fostered deeper engagement within Islamabad’s diplomatic community. The presence of senior officials from the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), Pakistan Nursing Council, civil society leaders, and media representatives added to the event’s prestige.
