Bilawal meets members of US Congressional Pakistan Caucus,strongly raises concerns over India’s water aggression

WASHINGTON -UNS: Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party and head of Pakistan’s diplomatic mission, held an important meeting in Washington with Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove, Ranking Member of the U.S. House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on South and Central Asia.

During the meeting, Chairman Bhutto Zardari appreciated Congresswoman Dove’s efforts in advancing human rights and expressed grave concern over India’s use of baseless allegations to target innocent civilians, including women and children.

He stated that the Indian government is not only responsible for grave human rights violations within its borders but is now also attempting to violate human rights across borders, which is a blatant breach of international law.

Bilawal  Meets U.S. Senator Jim Banks:

Washington Washington June 5, 2025: Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party and Head of Pakistan’s Parliamentary Diplomatic Mission, Mr. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, held a significant meeting with U.S. Senator Jim Banks, a senior Republican leader and member of the Senate Armed Services Committee. The meeting took place at the Hart Senate Building in Washington, D.C.

During the meeting, Chairman Bhutto Zardari briefed Senator Banks on the recent escalation in tensions between Pakistan and India, highlighting India’s unprovoked aggression. He emphasized that Pakistan’s measured and strategic response successfully dismantled the myth of Indian military superiority in the eyes of the international community.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari reiterated Pakistan’s consistent desire for peace in the region, stating that while Pakistan seeks stability and dialogue, India’s increasingly aggressive posture is a growing concern.

He urged the United States and other responsible global powers to take a principled stance and play their part in restraining India’s war-mongering tendencies. He stressed that India’s actions, fueled by hatred and prejudice, pose a serious threat to the fabric of a peaceful and civilized global order.

The two leaders also discussed avenues to further strengthen bilateral ties, regional cooperation, and the role of parliamentary diplomacy. The meeting concluded with mutual agreement on enhancing cooperation and engagement between the two countries.

Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party and Head of Pakistan’s Diplomatic Mission, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, held a high-level meeting with members of the U.S. Congressional Pakistan Caucus in Washington. He was accompanied by a senior parliamentary delegation comprising elected representatives from various political parties in Pakistan.

Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari met with Republican leaders Jack Bergman and Ryan Zinke, as well as Democratic leaders Tom Suozzi and Ilhan Omar, among others. The meeting addressed critical issues including regional peace and stability in South Asia, Pakistan-India relations, and pressing water disputes.

Raising strong concerns before the Congressional leaders, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari highlighted India’s recent water aggression, stating that “India has weaponized water, endangering the future of not only Pakistan but the entire region.” He condemned the Modi government’s repeated provocations and its habit of launching attacks without evidence, calling it a manifestation of war hysteria.

He praised former U.S. President Donald Trump’s role in helping to de-escalate past tensions between Pakistan and India, noting that “Pakistan remains committed to peace, but sadly, India consistently resists dialogue.”

Chairman Bilawal stressed that if Indian hostility is not curbed in time, it could seriously jeopardize regional peace. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s desire for constructive engagement based on mutual respect and peaceful resolution of disputes.
