Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) has always been generous to the people of Pakistan. The relations no matter what the political scenario was always benefited the Pakistani nation.
Even when the Pakistani parliament passed a resolution not to send troops to participate in the Yemen war, the Saudi government was very kind and relations did not dip to harm the long standing friendship.
The Saudis have always been our “all weather friends” – helping us financially when the US turned it back and imposed severe sanctions after testing of the nuclear devices in 1998 and now again when the country is on the brink of default.

The impact was visible when Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) pledged $5.2 billion to support Pakistan in its climate rebuilding efforts at the United Nations conference in Geneva to help Pakistan cope with the fallout of last summer’s devastating flooding. Saudi Arabia according to the Information Minister will be contributing a billion dollars for flood relief.
The Saudi’s have always been generous in allocating big haj quotas to Pakistani pilgrims. The government and people of Pakistan have always appreciated the magnanimity of the Saudi Kingdom.
The time tested friendship between the two nations is bound to increase in the coming years with cooperation in the economic and military sector.
