DC visits various places in Gujranwala district under Good Governance initiatives

Gujranwala: Deputy Commissioner Naveed Ahmed is continuing his visits to various places in the district under Good Governance Initiatives.

Under the Clean Punjab Program,initiative,  DC visited GT Road, Bakhtywala, Gurjakh Jinnah Road and other areas.

He issued orders for immediate cleaning and also sought an implementation report from the responsible persons seeking answers on the poor cleanliness situation in the areas. He met the cleaning staff on the highways and instructed them to work diligently to maintain the cleanliness of the National Highway (GT Road) at all times.

Deputy Commissioner Naveed Ahmed also inspected chicken shops, LPG gas refilling shops and encroachments during the visit.    While visiting GT Road, Jinnah Road and other areas under the Good Governance Initiative, the Deputy Commissioner continued the work of making the roads encroachment-free under the Anti-Encroachment Program.

During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner warned them for keeping goods on the road and directed them to strictly avoid any kind of encroachment again. He said that encroachments on the roads not only affect the flow of traffic but also cause accidents. In case of repeated encroachments, the goods will be confiscated.
