‘Strengthening of Pak-Russian ties across various sectors needs of hour’

ISLAMABAD-UNS: A delegation led by Habib Ahmed, Honorary Consular of the Russian Federation in Lahore met the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Pakistan, Albert Khorev on Saturday. The delegation also included Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ashraf Nizami and senior former bureaucrat Dr. Allah Bakhsh Malik.

In the meeting, the discussions focused on strengthening of Pak-Russian relationships across various sectors, including science, culture, education, business, and technology. The delegation explored opportunities for enhanced cooperation, particularly emphasizing the importance of exchange programs for students and boosting tourism between the two countries. Strategies for promoting “People-To-People” contact were discussed in detail, aiming to deepen friendship and mutual understanding.

The Russian Ambassador was accompanied by Ms. Alena Kolesnikova, Chief of Education, Science, and Culture, who contributed valuable insights into expanding bilateral collaborations in these fields.

Prof. Dr. Ashraf Nizami expressed optimism about the future of Pak-Russian relations, highlighting the potential for meaningful partnerships that can contribute to mutual growth and prosperity.
