Gujranwala. (Talha Aftab Khan) Commissioner Syed Naveed Haider Shirazi along with Deputy Commissioner Naveed Ahmed visited different areas of Gujranwala city and inspected the work on beautification, sports and sewerage projects as per the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. Chief Officer Municipal Corporation and other officers were also present.
Commissioner Syed Naveed Haider Shirazi said that as per the directions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the purpose of establishing a sports arena at the available space under the overhead bridge is to provide facilities for sports to the youth.
The project will also eliminate encroachments here and this place will not be used for other negative purposes. Commissioner Syed Naveed Haider Shirazi said that the administration is continuing to take indiscriminate action against encroachments, traffic problems in congested areas of the city including the clock tower will be solved and the beauty of the city will be enhanced.
Commissioner Syed Naveed Haider Shirazi and Deputy Commissioner Naveed Ahmed directed to complete the work on the sewerage project near Gulshan Park on GT Road on time and said that the use of quality materials should be ensured on the project.
