Former prime minister Imran Khan on Monday said that the PTI and the PML-Q would contest elections together apart from differences.
Reacted to Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi’s statement in favour of ex-COAS Qamar Javed Bajwa Imran said that former army chief Bajwa was solely responsible for ousting his government and creating economic and political crises in the country.
Sources said the deposed premier told the PTI stalwarts not to change their narrative, and not to get confused with CM Elahi’s statement. The PTI chief added that both parties would contest elections together apart from differences, sources added.
Speaking to international media, he said the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) were two independent parties as the PML-Q had its distinctive policy towards Bajwa and it [had the right] to negotiate with the PML-N.
He said NAB was controlled by Bajwa who gave everyone an NRO without his (Imran s) consent. “Parvez Elahi has sent me the written advice calling for assembly dissolution and I shall send the advice to the Punjab governor on Friday”, he added.
