KARACHI-UNS : PDMA has completed preparations to deal with the recent monsoon rains of 2024.
DG PDMA Syed Salman Shah has stated in a press release that the heavy duty water pumps of 90 pH and 40 pH are functioning to drain out the rain water at 13 locations in Karachi city.
He further said that there are five heavy duty water pumps vehicles are draining out rain water around KPT underpass, Submarine underpass, Shaheen Complex, Tower and Sindh Assembly in South District.
“Two water pumps vehicles are also engaged in extracting drainage water in Nazimabad underpass, Liaquatabad underpass in district central” “said DG PDMA Syed Salman Shah”.
“One water pump vehicle at East drig road underpass, one at Johar Chowrangi, one at Malir’s Falknaz Airport and one at West K Four’s Chowrangi are busy pumping water” “said DG PDMA Syed Salman Shah”.
He said that two water pumps vehicles are busy extracting rainwater at Qayyumabad Korangi and Kiamari.
DG PDMA Syed Salman Shah advised the public to take precautionary measures during rain, especially to be careful around electric poles.
