Dialysis center operated in Dadu hospital

DADU: The happiness came at face of patients as after, 16 years longest period the district head quarter hospital Dadu, operated the Dialysis center successfully with fully equipments and expert staff with arrangements by the Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sc iences.
Along with it, the Children ward, Medical Ward, Gynecological ward, emergency sections at the hospital in city with all kind of facilities and specialist doctors.
The patients and local residents appreciating the VC LUMHS Jamshoro Dr Ikarm uddin Ujjan said that this is the first time in history of this hospital such kind of facilities were provided them with fully equipments.

They said that honesty and dedication of VC LUMHS Jamshoro Prof Dr Ikram u ddin Ujjan has fully completed this task successfully.

“With establishment of 10 beded dialysis center, the cost between, 20 thousands rupees to 25 thousands rupees of per patient for per visit of treatment was saved”” Prof Dr Ikram u ddin Ujjan told during inspection of newly established dialysis center at DHQ hospital Dadu”.

” Some patients have rotation of twice time a week and some patients have rotation of once time in a week for dialysis treatment “”said Prof Dr Ikram u ddin Ujjan”.

” The serious patients of remote areas of Kachho desert area, Johi, KN Shah, Mehar , Moro and Naushahro Firoz and other adjoining areas were travelling to Hyderabad , Karachi and other towns after paying huge transport charges but with establishment of dialysis center at DHQ hospital , patients are receiving free of cost treatment and transport facilities ” said Prof Dr Ikram u ddin Ujjan”.

” If the patient of dialysis will not receive its treatment timely its death happens hence it needs to get its treatment according to prescriptions of doctors timely”” suggested Prof Dr Ikram uddin Ujjan”.

“” following the 50 celsius degree or above temperature at Dadu , the air conditions were installed at this dialysis center beside this RO plant for drinking water and other facilities were provided to the patients “” said Prof Dr Ikram u ddin Ujjan”.

“Each patient takes 6 hours to 7 hours time to rotate and clean the blood and its treatment and it is very painful process”” said Prof Dr Ikram u ddin Ujjan”.

“As soon as, district head quarter hospital Dadu was handed over to the LUMHS Jamshoro with an agreement , it moved to development and facilitating the people of area and all 24 hours day and night the all departments with emergency sections and OPD were running ” “Dr Prof Ikram u ddin Ujjan told this correspondent”.

” Not only this , the lumhs jamshoro has established the art of state diagnostic research laboratories in Karachi ” Hyderabad , Larkana, Mirpur Khas and Sukkur divisions to facilitate the poor patients with all kind of tests on cheap rates with quality “” said prof Dr Ikram u ddin Ujjan”.

” The on line exam system was introduced and art of style exams centers were established at LUMHS Jamshoro to create a quality standard education “” said VC Jamshoro “.
” Beside this Hospital in thatta with a medical college was established with standard quality education and LUMHS is the first who had provided all kind quality education in academically to the students and facilitating hospitals for the patients “” said VC LUMHS Jamshoro”.

” The doctors of LUMHS also were ready to help the people with all kind facilities of medical treatment during emergency as they worked during rain and flood emergency of 2022 in Sehwan , Manjhand, Kotri, Jamshoro , Thana Bula Khan, Matyari, Tando Mohammad Khan , Hyderabad and Parts of Thar and treated 1 million patients with supply of all kind of required medicine”” said VC LUMHS”.
The expert doctors also carried out the COVID-19 tests first of all over all in Sindh province and successfully managed and supported people and Sindh government with low rates in compare of other organizations “” said VC LUMHS Dr Prof Ikram u.ddin Ujjan”.

” I have sold all of my 15 bufflos and 10 cows to bear the expenditures of dialysis treatment from other hospitals of Hyderabad and Karachi since last 8 years continuously but he was receiving treatment free of cost at DHQ hospital Dadu and he has been coming here twice time a week for treatment “” said 45 years old Naveed Ahmed resident of Moro town “.

Naveed Ahmed said that now he had no money to face the transport charges and other expenditures of other hospitals ‘ if he would not come to dialysis center Dadu timely, he might be died. He said that in each week twice time ambulance facilities was also provided him to pick and drop with all medical facilities.

50 years old Abdul Hakeem Rodhnani resident of kachho desert area said that he has to come twice time for dialysis center for treatment. He said that he was poor man and he had faced huge troubles as each visit , he had paid only 10 thousands rupees to pay a rent a taxi while 15000 rupees to 20000 rupees other expenditures of the hospital in Hyderabad before established this dialysis center at DHQ hospital.

Medical Superintendent of DHQ hospital Dadu Dr Amjad Hussain Mastoi told that dialysis center was established in 2004 by former federal minister liaquat Ali Jatoi but due to different reasons it was closed in the end of 2007. He said that again it was shifted from old building to new building of the hospital under the all arrangements of LUMHS.

Dr Amjad Hussain mastoi said that all kind of facilities and medicines was provided to tje patients with pick and drop facilities to the dialysis patient.

He said that five art of state type operation theaters also were established , He said that 10 consultants for Orthopedic, Cardio, skin, opthology, Gyne were appointed.

He said that this hospital was neglected continuously but all arrangements and administration was started through LUMHS and the wards including children and medical wards were expended.

Dr Sheeraz Dawach Skin specialist said that ratio of skin patients was increasing and its OPD was 200 to 250 daily. He said that most of patients were reporting from desert area Kachho.

Child specialist Dr Allah Bux Korejo said that ratio of patients was increased and it was reported 500 to 550 daily in various seasonal diseases.

Child specialist Dr Muzmal Birohi said that due to increasing ratio of new born babies a Neonental care unit was establish with fully equipments..She said that serious newly born babies were kept at this unit for treatment.

The local residents of Dadu and area thanked VC LUMHS Dr Ikram u ddin Ujjan , Sindh Health minister Dr Azra Pechoho and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah to develop and provide all kind of facilties at DHQ hospital Dadu.
