KARACHI-UNS: The Project director Sindh Emergency Flood Rehabilitation Project Planing and Development Component government of Sindh, Ali Asghar Kansaro has said that 33 kilometers long dual road constructed from main nara valley drain to Johi city and remaining part of road was under construction from Johi to Wahi Pandhi in Johi taluka of Dadu district , Sindh.
A team Sindh Emergency Flood Rehabilitation Project planing and development component inspected visited the road from Chhandan mori of MNV drain to Wahi Pandhi SEFRP planing and development government of Sindh , constructing this road in.flood hit area of Johi in Dadu district..
Mr Ali Asghar Kanasro said that the work of this road was completed from Chhandan Mori to Johi city within stipulated period through strict vigilence and the construction work going on from Johi to Wahi Pandhi town and 90 percent work of this dual carriage road was completed and remaining work will be completed till 30 agust 2024.
He said that this was main road of Johi town and this road was damaged in 2022 floods and it was constructed for transportation.
He said that it was constructed 24 feet wide and with a quality. He said that it would not damaged in rains as its quality of standard was high.
The local resident of Johi town Adam Babar appreciating the construction of this dual road said that the rain water was remained in johi town for the two months after 2022 flood. He said that due to inundating this main road of Johi, the people had used boats for transportation. He said that with construction of this road, the area people are happy as they are travelling properly.
Shahmir khan Gadehi a local resident of Johi said that this dual road from Chhandan mori to Johi and Johi to Wahi pandhi was connecting 300 villages. He said that Johi city and 300 villages were facilitated with construction of this road.
It remembered that 0.8 million population of Dadu district had migrated to.safer places from their towns and villages. Khairpur Nathan Shah city was also completely inundated..
Rural areas of Johi, Khairpur Nathan Shah, Dadu and Mehar and Sehwan talukas were fully inundated in 2022 floods and rains.
