‘Students plant trees for green Pakistan’

Sargodha -UNS : Commissioner Sargodha Division Muhammad Ajmal Bhatti has emphasized that no one from outside will to come to beautify and greenify our country. This crucial responsibility we have to undertake ourselves.
The dream of a green future cannot be realized until students also plant trees with their own hands. He was addressing the “Plant for Pakistan” campaign ceremony at Government Degree College for Women, Farooq Colony, on Tuesday.
The Commissioner said that the purpose of starting the tree plantation campaign every year is to reaffirm the determination that not only will we plant trees ourselves to make this country green and lush, but we will also encourage others to do so.
He said, “Plant for Pakistan is our future. We need to plant trees that provide shade and bear fruit. Planting trees is commendable, but it is even more commendable to inspire others to do so.” Speaking on the occasion, the Directors Colleges said that from March 18 to 21, approximately 40,000 plants would be planted in 96 colleges of the division as part of the Plant for Pakistan campaign. In addition to awareness seminars and walks in colleges, quiz, speeches, and essay competitions are also being held. Later, the Commissioner along with students and teachers planted trees in the college lawn. Conservator Forests, DFO, and the host Principal were also present at the ceremony.
