Spring tree plantation campaign started in Sargodha

SARGODHA : Commissioner Sargodha Division Muhammad Ajmal Bhatti inaugurated the spring tree plantation campaign by planting a sapling in the park Main Water Supply Park on Friday. On this occasion, prayers were also offered for the prosperity and security of the nation and the country with the determination to make Sargodha Division green with the trees. The Commissioner stated that to make the tree plantation campaign successful, all members of the society must play their part.
He said, “All departments should cooperate fully with the Forest Department and PHA to make the tree plantation campaign successful.” He directed the conservator forests to prepare a comprehensive plan for planting trees in all of the four districts of the division so that relevant district and tehsil officers could also be issued instructions for its implementation.
He further emphasized that Pakistan is among the countries mostly affected by climate change, so everyone should actively participate in the tree plantation campaign to tackle this major challenge. The Commissioner said, “merely planting trees is not enough; rather, taking care of them is the real test.”
On this occasion, Conservator Forests, Divisional Forest Officer, Director Admin of PHA, Colleges Director, Secretary Education Board, President Chamber of Commerce, President Rotary Club, traders, and students, along with other individuals related to various walks of life, participated and also planted saplings.
Ramadan Bazar visit:
Commissioner Sargodha Division Muhammad Ajmal Bhatti made a surprise visit to the Ramadan Bazaar set up at Model Mart Sargodha on Thursday. He inspected the quality of food items at various stalls and compared prices with those of general market.
He directed that with the increase in the number of stalls in the Ramadan Bazaar, appropriate arrangements should also be made for the shadow and arrangements to avoid long queues of the fasting individuals.
He emphasized that the government is spending billions of rupees to provide relief to the people during the holy month of Ramadan. On the spot, Commissioner interacted with the citizens present for shopping and issued necessary instructions to the relevant officials while taking feedback from them.
