SARGODHA (sh naeem tahir): Provincial Minister for Communication & Works Punjab Malik Sohaib Ahmed Bharath visited the bereaved parents of Martyred Constable Mohsin Abbas in nearby Chak 6 ML Phularwan to offer condolences on Monday.
The provincial minister laid a floral wreath on the martyr’s grave after offering prayers. Speaking to the relatives, he stated that he was here to offer condolences on the directive of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif who would soon meet the martyr’s family. He said, “Martyred Constable Mohsin Abbas has sacrificed his life for the protection of the people’s lives and property.
The entire nation, including the local community, takes pride in the martyr’s sacrifice. The sacrifice of the martyr will enable the country to become a symbol of peace and security.” The minister further stated that the government would not leave the martyr’s family alone in any way. “The Punjab Chief Minister has directed immediate measures for the martyr’s family.
The police martyrs are the pride of our nation. The sacrifices of martyrs can never be forgotten.”, he added. On this occasion, DPO Sargodha Muhammad Faisal Kamran and Assistant Commissioner Bhulwal, along with other police and administrative officers, were also present. Constable Mohsin Abbas, posted in the muhafiz Squad, was martyred two days ago while confronting dacoits.
During the patrolling, the Muhafiz Squad team encountered four dacoits riding motorcycles. When the muhafiz Squad tried to stop the suspected dacoits, the dacoits started firing directly at the police party. In the exchange of fire, Constable Mohsin Abbas was critically injured by a bullet in the abdomen, and even after being rushed to the hospital, he could not survive. During the exchange of fire, the central shooter of the dacoits, later identified as Waqar, was killed, who was a notorious dacoit with several entries in the record of crimes. The injured dacoit, arrested in critical condition, has been identified as Amir.
