WAPDA Hydal Museum inaugurated to preserve heritage hydro power stations at T4 Terbela

TarbealaGhazi: The inauguration of WAPDA Hydal Museum took place at T4 Power House to preserve the heritage of WAPDA hydropower stations on Saturday.The museum showcases models of Jabban Hydel Power Station (1937) and the structural model of Tarbela Dam. Additionally, old and unique electromechanical equipment and parts from Jabban, Warsak, Tarbela, Renala, Kurram Garhi, and Chitral power stations are well-organized in the museum.

According to details, a museum has been established at Tarbela Hydel Power Station to preserve and portray the heritage of WAPDA’s power stations. Old and unique E&M equipment and parts from WAPDA’s power stations have been preserved and displayed at Tarbela Hydel Power Station in an organized manner.

The formal inauguration of the museum was done by WAPDA member Power, Jamil Akhtar.The inaugural ceremony was attended by General Manager Hydel Muhammad Ihsanullah, General Manager Tarbela Power House Nasr Minallah, General Manager Tarbela Dam WAPDA Anwar Shah, Chief Engineer T4 (O&M) Muhammad Tariq, Chief Engineer T4 Tourish Kumar,Chief Engineer Tarbela Power Station Naseem Khan and representatives from the Hydro Union, including Humayun Khan, Faisal Arshad, and Muhammad Imran. Officers and media representatives also participated.

In his address during the inauguration, WAPDA member Power Jamil Akhtar highlighted the significance of Tarbela Dam as a major electricity project for the country. He praised the efforts of General Manager Nasr Minallah and Chief Engineer Muhammad Tariq for their contributions to the establishment of the museum. He emphasized that Tarbela is a role model and a symbol of pride, and the museum’s establishment is a commendable initiative.

WAPDA member Power Jamil Akhtar extended congratulations to GM Nasr Minallah and Chief Engineer Muhammad Tariq for their dedicated efforts in preserving WAPDA’s assets. He mentioned his role as GM at Tarbela Power House, focusing on addressing the issues of officers and employees. He attributed the success to the prayers of the people and emphasized WAPDA’s crucial role in providing key electricity supply to the country.At the end of the inauguration ceremony, GM Power Nasr Minallah and Chief Engineer O&M Muhammad Tariq also addressed the gathering. The ceremony concluded with GM Power Jamil Akhtar commending the excellent performance of GM Hydel Ihsanullah, GM Power Nasr Minallah, GM Tarbela Dam Anwar Shah, Chief Engineer Tariq, Chief Engineer Tourish Kumar, and Chief Engineer T5 Wasim Raza Shield received by D.Director T5 Aziz Somro, along with Principal College Kamran Khalid and other officials.
