ISLAMABAD:The prices of solar system equipment increased by over 100 per cent which is alarming for getting cheap energy in the country. According to market sources, there is huge increase in prices of Solar equipment in the market i.e. from 75 thousand to three lakh rupees which alarming for people. Market sources attribute this to changing government policy.

According UNS the annual import bill of oil and gas has reached 27 billion dollars and the revolving debt has reached 25,00 billion rupees.
When billions of rupees are spent in this regard every year and the extraordinary volume of outstanding debts will continue to increase, then the country’s development and prosperity.

Due to economic and financial crises presently Pakistan facing shortage of foreign exchange.

It will not be out of place to say that if people meet half of their electricity demand with solar energy, the government’s dependence on the most expensive sources like oil and gas will be reduced by the same amount, which will reduce its import bill.

Last year, the government of Pakistan publicly encouraged shifting more electricity generation to solar energy and reduced the duty on its equipment.

Most of the most expensive electricity in the country goes to the privileged class and line losses, due to which instead of distributing the production costs, the entire burden is falling on the common man and the daily increasing price of electricity is the most severe inflation. This period is adding to his difficulties.

In the current situation and in the shortest possible time, cheap electricity from the solar system can solve the problems of the people to a large extent, for which it will be necessary to exempt the solar panels from taxes and reduce their prices to reach the common man.

Many countries are trying to shift a large part of their energy needs to solar.According to details China 131, USA 51, Japan 49, Germany 42, Italy 19 and India 18 gigawatts of solar power.
