NEW YORK -UNS: Due to expected severe weather conditions, all New York City Public Schools and Queens Public Libraries are closed Tuesday, February 13, 2024. Alternate side parking rules will be suspended.
All instruction will take place remotely. Schools will provide students with the necessary tools for remote learning if they have not already.
Children attending LYFE or a 3K or Pre-K program in an elementary school or Pre-K Center should participate in the remote learning experiences outlined by their program.
After-school programs, Public Schools Athletic League activities, adult education, and YABC programs are also cancelled tomorrow.
For safety reasons, yellow bus service for charter and non-public school students will not operate tomorrow.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for tomorrow from 4:00am through 6:00pm, with up to 8 inches of snow expected.
We will be in close touch with NYC Emergency Management throughout the next 24 hours.
Safety is of the utmost importance. If you must travel, use extreme caution and allow for additional travel time.
