Islamabad-UNS: An important meeting was held headed by SSP Security to provide full security for the visit of South Africa cricket team to Islamabad.
During the movement of cricket teams, the route will be monitored through advanced technology and drone cameras, more than 800 police officers and youths will perform security duties, full coordination with law enforcement agencies will be ensured.
According to the details, under the chairmanship of Senior Superintendent of Police Security Captain Retired Syed Zeeshan Haider, during the visit of South Africa cricket team to Islamabad, Rawalpindi, an important meeting regarding security was held in which senior police officers of the twin cities and other law enforcement agencies participated. The security details of the South Africa cricket team tour were discussed, it was decided in the meeting that complete coordination with the Rawalpindi Police and other law enforcement agencies will ensure fool-proof security arrangements and the routes will be monitored by modern technology and drones during the movement of the teams. More than 800 police officers and youths will perform their duties on security while complete coordination and information sharing with other law enforcement agencies will be improved. Search operations should be conducted, the Special Branch should ensure that information is collected and passed on to the concerned authorities, the officers would brief the officers about the nature of the duty before sending them on duty and the best and trained staff should be posted on duty, finally the SSP Security and all the officers reiterated this commitment. Islamabad Police will leave no stone unturned to ensure full security during this very important visit of the visiting cricket team, Islamabad Police will take all possible measures to maintain the country’s dignity and identity.
