PESHAWAR -UNS: A serious administrative dissent in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa came when IG police withdrew the security of Awami National Party (ANP) president Aimal Wali Khan, despite clear instructions by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gundapur.

According to a private TV channel, the Chief Minister assured Aimal Wali Khan to provide full security. However, ignoring the assurance, police officials presented the line to all security personnel deployed in Peshawar this morning, resulting in the security at the provincial level completely eliminated.
Earlier, the security given to Aimal Wali Khan at the federal level has also been withdrawn, after which he has now completely lost any kind of government security.
An ANP spokesperson responded strongly to the move, claiming that “the partners of the Hybrid Regime have taken the Chief Minister hostage, and Ali Amin Gundapur himself appears to be helpless in front of the IG.”
The spokesman said that the government has already been informed about the security threats posed by Aimal Wali Khan, but nevertheless, the removal of security is an incomprehensible and dangerous step.
An ANP spokesperson indicated that the party would make a new strategy to protect its leaders.

Sources said that backdoor contacts between the Chief Minister’s House and the police officials were underway, but so far the security of Aimal Wali Khan has not been restored.
This matter not only highlights the internal differences of the provincial administration, but also highlights the uncertainty on a sensitive issue like the security of political leaders.
