ISLAMABAD: President of Pakistan -China Friendship Association, Yousaf Ayub Khan has said that friendship between Pakistan and China is an everlasting relationship which is constantly strengthening publicly. He described the “Sister City program” as a bright example of promoting public relations between Peshawar and Urumqi.
Khan was addressing an event which was held at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House Islamabad on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of the establishment of the Republic of China, organized by the Pak -China Friendship Association.
Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zedong said in his address that relations between Pakistan and China have deepened and stable over time. He emphasized that promoting educational, cultural and public relations is an urgent need of the hour so that this friendship can be transmitted to new generations.
The ambassador added that China is providing a large number of scholarships to Pakistani students so that they can benefit from modern education and research opportunities.
He also emphasized that the security of Chinese experts and workers working on the ongoing C -Pack projects in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa should be ensured so that the projects can be completed in a timely and successful.
The Chinese ambassador said that China’s economy has reached $ 140 trillion this year, which is the result of the hard work of the Chinese people. He said that economic relations between Pakistan and China would expand further in the future.
Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Babar Saleem Swati said in his address that Pak -China relations are guaranteed peace and development in the region. He said that China’s development model is a great example for Pakistan, which we can take better steps for the welfare of our people by learning.
Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Babar Saleem Swati, Provincial Ministers Akbar Ayub Khan, Minister Revenue Nazir Abbasi, China’s Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zedong and Pak -China Friendship Association President Yusuf Ayub Khan was present on the occasion. Cake cutting ceremony was also held.
