BUNER: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) district Buner body and workers Opposed  are actively protesting against recent decisions by the central leadership on the suspension of  district President and General  Secretary.According to details PTI district Buner President Kamran Khan and General Secretary  Arshad Iqbal suspension is unconstitutional and against the principles of the party constitution. The PTI Workers emphasize that Kamran Khan has been on the frontline for PTI and Chairman Imran Khan, making continuous sacrifices, yet he is facing unfair and one-sided decisions. The suspension also caused significant anger and disappointment among workers. The workers  demanding that this notification be immediately revoked to ensure justice within the party and restore the confidence of its members.

PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan issued a message regarding Buner district body of PTI, stating that the notification was intended to resolve internal disagreements and create consensus. He announced that all issues related to Buner’s party organization would be addressed within a week to prevent disappointment and assured workers that party decisions would be made in their best interest while trying to include everyone.

However, Buner, and especially Salarzi workers, consider this notification merely a verbal assurance, lacking tangible action.

This has particularly tested the patience of the workers: for the first time, a representative from Salarzi was appointed to an important position, filling workers with hope and enthusiasm. This was a historic moment, as they have struggled for decades for proper representation and recognition. People observed this as a sign that leadership was finally acknowledging their sacrifices, contributions, and hard work.

Yet, within days, this representative was suddenly and unexpectedly removed from the position. This decision has dealt a severe blow to Salarzi workers. They feel that the trust and expectations they placed in the leadership were nothing more than deception and temporary show. Salarzi workers continue to be ignored, their efforts and issues dismissed, and they are left feeling like orphans with no support. This act effectively demonstrates that the rights of Salarzi workers exist only on paper, with little real-world value.

Workers strongly assert that if leadership genuinely cares for the welfare of Buner and Salarzi, it must implement permanent, transparent, and constitutional measures rather than issuing mere notifications. The PTI local workers emphasize that the people of Buner have consistently worked on the frontline, actively participating in rallies and protests, and promoting the party’s agenda.

They ssid” if the party disregards its constitution in making decisions, what value remains for the efforts and sacrifices of its workers”?

The current situation is further complicated by internal political dynamics in Buner. Ex-Minister Riaz Khan, former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Public Health / Communication & Works, Ex-MPA PTI PK-20 Buner, Ex-MPA PTI PK-25 Buner, Ex-President PTI Buner, and General Secretary PTI Malakand Division, has openly supported Kamran Khan and Arshad Iqbal. Meanwhile, Syed Fakhar Jehan, Minister for Sports & Youth Affairs Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, MPA PK26 Buner II, Ex-DDAC Chairman, and Ex-MPA PK21 Buner II KP, a key ally of Chairman Gohar Khan, has opposed them. Observers note that no proper investigation was conducted prior to the suspensions, and they believe the decision was primarily influenced by Syed Fakhar Jehan rather than based on party rules or fair procedures. This perception has fueled further outrage among grassroots members, who see the suspensions as politically motivated and unfair, undermining trust between local members and central leadership.

The workers have also demanded that Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan reopen the comments section on his Facebook page so they can directly share their feedback. This demand is not merely about having a technical platform—it is a test of leadership transparency, accountability, and genuine engagement with party members. True leadership requires providing open channels for dialogue, rather than shutting communication due to fear of criticism or dissent.

Leaders worldwide set examples in this regard. For instance, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, despite facing extensive criticism and political opposition, keeps his social media comments open and engages directly with the public and party members. This approach ensures that leaders remain aware of grassroots concerns, respond promptly to issues, and build trust among supporters.

If Chairman Gohar cannot tolerate feedback from his own workers, it raises serious questions about his ability to responsibly lead the party. The workers’ demand highlights the need for principled leadership, transparent decision-making, and meaningful participation of party members. In today’s political environment, where public opinion and member engagement are vital for any party’s success, leadership must go beyond statements and notifications—it must actively listen to, understand, and act on the concerns of its members.

This demand also underscores that the workers are continually striving for their rights and representation, believing firmly that their voices cannot and should not be silenced. Recognition and active engagement of grassroots members are essential for a party to maintain legitimacy and trust.

Director of Khyber Public School and College Muhammad Khaliq, Haji Jamal Buneri , Musa Jan and other workers have all recorded their reactions regarding the controversial suspensions. They expressed strong concerns over these actions and criticized the PTI Chairman for what they perceive as unfair treatment of local party leaders.

The workers’ message is clear: they seek justice, accountability, and recognition. They warn that if these issues are not addressed within the promised timeframe, protests will intensify across platforms—from social media campaigns to organized rallies.

PTI workers Said that “We will not remain silent—if justice is not delivered, our voices will be heard on every platform, locally and globally!”
