KABUL-UNS:Russia will host the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan as a member at the upcoming Moscow Format meeting, Russian Ambassador to Kabul Dmitry Zhirnov has announced.
According to Afghanistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this is for the first time to Russia invite talibsn government officially.The official ssid that Russian Smbassador Zhirnov shared details of the seventh Moscow Format session—scheduled for October—during a meeting on Sunday with Afghan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi.
Muttaqi described Afghanistan’s membership in the Moscow Format as an important milestone, expressing hope that such regional platforms would help build trust and foster positive engagement between Afghanistan and neighboring countries.
