KSA Ambassador inaugurates bus service in IIUI

Islamabad: Nawaf Said Al-Malki, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to Pakistan, inaugurated four buses gifted by the Saudi government to the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) in a ceremony held at the university’s new campus.

Speaking on the occasion, the ambassador said that the brotherly ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are exemplary and acknowledged worldwide, while IIUI has a special place in the heart of Saudi Arabia. He thanked the IIUI President and the university administration for their hospitality.

President IIUI, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed, extended gratitude to the government of Saudi Arabia for the generous endowment. He said such support further strengthens bilateral relations and contributes to facilitating students and staff at the university.

Earlier, H.E. Nawaf Said Al-Malki was briefed on IIUI’s transport facilities by Syed Hassan Aftab, Director of the Central Transport Unit (CTU).

The ceremony was also attended by IIUI Vice Presidents, Saudi faculty members, and senior university officials.

The inauguration was also an expression of interest in the growth and development of the university, particularly in facilitating its students through improved transport facilities.
