Lahore-UNS: Sui Northern Gas carried out a series of successful raids against gas theft in different areas of Lahore West Region.
In the first operation at Shahpur Kaanjra, Multan Road, five meter reversal cases were detected where consumers were stealing gas by reversing their meters. The teams disconnected all such connections. During the raid, consumers offered resistance to the staff, however, with the assistance of police, the theft cases were effectively eliminated.
In another case at Ichhra, Ferozepur Road, a consumer was found using domestic gas connection for commercial purposes. The team immediately disconnected the gas supply and curbed the theft.
In the third crackdown at Dohatta Town, Ichhra, three domestic connections were found involved in illegal use of gas compressors. The teams disconnected all such connections which resulted in improvement of gas pressure in the area.
