Flood alert issued after India releases water in Sutlej

ISLAMABAD -UNS: The Indian High Commission has informed Pakistan about water discharge in the Sutlej River prompting the Ministry of Water Resources to issue a flood alert.

The alert warns about high level of flood in the Sutlej River at Harike and Ferozepur.

PMD forecast heavy to heavy rains are expected from Sept 9 to Sept.15 next week.
The rains are expected in Punjab ,KP and GB areas.
