“India is responsible for devastating of flooding in Pakistan”

ISLAMABAD : India is responsible  for  devastating of flooding in Pakistan,a foreign office source disclosed to WTP here on Friday.The sources said that India has been deliberately tardy in issuing flood warning.

The sources said India using water as a weapon against Pakistan. “Indian act is crime against  humanity”.”Hundreds peoples displaced,missing or injured and huge damages occured due Indian water released,” the sources said.He referred US President Trump statement regarding Indian crimes against humanity.

Under the 1960 agreement ,Pakistan and India are bound by provisions designed to prevent
material damage from water flow.

In a weekly briefing the Foreign Office also said that Pakistan has been grappling with a severe and unprecedented flood situation, amplified by the abrupt water release from Indian dams.

The crisis is compounded by India’s decision to suspend the Indus Waters Treaty (IWT), an accord that has governed shared water resources for over six decades.

Pakistani FO has stated that India has not provided Pakistan with complete details regarding floods at the diplomatic level.

According to the spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan, India informed Pakistan about floods once through diplomatic channels, but this is not the established procedure between the two countries. While India shared some details with Pakistan, it did not provide the Foreign Office with complete information.

The spokesperson said India is involved in terrorism inside Pakistan, ” we have shared evidence with the international community and friendly countries that India’s role in fueling terrorism in Pakistan is well-proven.IL
