ANDJAN-UNS: The construction work on historic city of “Babur” is under way.
This modern city is being settled in memory of the historic Mughal conqueror Mirza Zaheeruddin Mohammad Babur (Firdous Makani) in Uzbekistan.
According to details spread over 10,000 acres, the city is settling in the side of Ferghana area of Uzbekistan.
The area is the birthplace of Andjan and the birth of Babur King, where Babur took the throne at the age of 12.
The city “Babur” highlights the concept of Uzbekistan’s wonderful past and bright future.
Talking about the city Shaukat Mirza Yauf, President of the country, has said that every glimpse of Babar’s life will be seen in this city.
The first phase of the city has been completed. It will have a university. There will be science, technology, IT institutions, centers of knowledge and literature will be established.

In 2021, the Uzbek government initiated a forward-looking development project aimed at easing urban congestion while elevating modern living standards for its citizens.
The expansive project spans over 4,000 hectares of previously unused land and is being developed in eight phases.
