Pateint death due to medical negligence,misconduct in Shifa Hospital:President orders to return bill

ISLAMABAD : President Dr. Arif Alvi has ordered the Islamabad Health Care Regulatory Authority to issue instructions to Shifa International Hospital to return the amount of Rs. 29 lakh to the citizen.

In the orders issued by the President of Pakistan, said that the death of the patient was due to the medical negligence and professional misconduct of the doctors of the Shifa International Hospital,Islamabad.

The order said that in a similar case in the past, Shifa International Hospital was not only fined but also directed to return the medical bill.The complainant (deceased’s daughter) was discriminated against.

The President said that the purpose of the law is fulfilled only when the complainant is provided with relief for any negligence on the part of the hospital.

Shifa International Hospital does not spare itself in robbing patients. The way in which looting is going on in the health sector can be seen in few countries in the world. The health sector has taken the form of a mafia in Pakistan. A few private hospitals in which Shifa is at the top are looting the public at all level. They are brutally robbing the patients.

The management of Shifa International Hospital,Islamabad collects millions of dollars every year in European countries including the United States, while the site of the hospital has also been taken from the CDA to build a charity hospital. But in Shifa International Hospital,Islamabad the deserving patients are treated as if they are eligible.There are Latinos.

Shafa International Hospital is being run on a commercial basis, while donations are collected by presenting it as a charity hospital in foreign countries, while no poor person can even enter the hospital, the patients are robbed for fees and medical tests.
