RAWALPINDI -UNS: Stressing the need for restraint, incarcerated PTI Vice Chairman and  former foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that a war between nuclear power Pakistan and Indian would be “mutual suicide”.

In a statement from the Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore, Qureshi said Indian reluctance to accept Pakistan’s offer for an international, transparent, credible and neutral investigation is in fact an admission of a false flag operation.

He said that Indian decision to hold the Indus Water Treaty in abeyance was illegal and violation of International Law. The PTI leader said that Indian unilateral actions on the 5th of August 2019 violated the Simla Agreement in letter and spirit.

The former foreign minister said that New Delhi was undermining regional peace and security by ignoring UN Security Council resolutions on Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
