RIYADH-UNS: Saudi Arabia has unveiled a groundbreaking digital visa system, “Visa by Profile,” enabling eligible Visa cardholders to obtain an electronic tourist visa within minutes.
The initiative represents a major advancement in the Kingdom’s ongoing strategy to expand and modernize its tourism sector.
Tourism Minister Ahmed Al-Khateeb announced the launch in a post on X, noting that travelers can now secure a tourist visa simply by submitting their Visa card information along with passport details. The service was formally introduced during the TOURISE25 Summit.
Developed through a collaboration between the Ministry of Interior, Visa (the global payments company), the Saudi Tourism Authority, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the program aims to simplify entry procedures and deliver a smoother, faster travel experience.
According to officials, the introduction of “Visa by Profile” supports Saudi Arabia’s broader vision of building a tourism ecosystem that is efficient, tech-driven, and aligned with international standards.
Minister Al-Khateeb emphasized that the new service reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to creating an accessible and seamless travel process for visitors from around the world.
