Islamabad bombing: Four suspected TTP Militants arrested

Islamabad -UNS: Pakistani authorities announced the arrest of four suspected militants involved in a suicide car bombing outside the judicial complex in Islamabad earlier this week. The attack, carried out on Tuesday, killed 12 people and injured 28 others, according to government sources.

Officials stated that the four arrested militants are members of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), a faction of the Pakistani Taliban with close ties to the Afghan Taliban. One of the detainees, identified as Sajidullah, is believed to have handled the explosives used in the attack.

The arrests were carried out during a coordinated operation by the Counter Terrorism Department and the Intelligence Bureau, which authorities described as a major breakthrough in the investigation. Pakistani officials emphasized that the operation underscores the government’s commitment to combating terrorism and ensuring public safety.
