Lahore- UNS : The four-day annual Sui Northern Gas Sports Gala 2025 was inaugurated by Deputy Managing Director, Mr. Faisal Iqbal, at Liaquat Gymnasium, Pakistan Sports Complex, Islamabad.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Faisal Iqbal said that the promotion of sports not only fosters team spirit but also enhances the performance of officers and staff. He further appreciated the participation of women athletes, terming it a positive sign and a testament to their talent and capability in sports.
The ceremony was also attended by Member, Pakistan Sports Board, Major General Irfan Arshad. During the event, President of Sui Northern Sports Cell, Mr. Imtiaz Mehmood, administered the oath to the participating players.
The Sports Gala, scheduled from 9th to 12th November, will feature competitions in Badminton, Table Tennis, Tug of War, Volleyball, and Athletics. A total of 371 male and female athletes from 22 regional teams and the Head Office, including a dedicated women’s team, are participating in the event.
The opening ceremony was graced by senior management of the company, along with CBA Union President Mr. Zubair Khan, Vice President of Sports Cell Mr. Waseem Ahmed, and General Secretary Mr. Imran Safdar Virk.
