Pakistani Citizen executed for drug smuggling in Makkah

Makkah, Saudi Arabia -UNS: A Pakistani expatriate has been executed in the Makkah region following a conviction for drug smuggling, according to a statement released by the Saudi Ministry of Interior.
The ministry confirmed that the individual was sentenced to death by a competent court. The sentence was later upheld by the Supreme Court, and the execution was subsequently carried out in accordance with legal procedures.
In a separate case, the Ministry of Interior reported that a Saudi national was also executed in the city of Dammam on charges related to terrorism.
According to the ministry, the individual was found guilty of carrying out attacks on security personnel, kidnapping and murdering a judge, sabotaging oil pipelines, and manufacturing explosives.
The Ministry emphasized that such penalties are part of the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to maintain security and enforce justice.
