KARACHI -UNS: A high-level Saudi delegation, headed by His Royal Highness Prince Mansour bin Mohammed Al Saud, Chairman of the Saudi-Pakistani Joint Business Council, paid an official visit to the residence of the Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah, in Karachi.
The delegation included His Excellency the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliki, along with more than 30 prominent Saudi businessmen and investors, representing strategic sectors including energy, infrastructure, agriculture, livestock, mining, construction, logistics, and investment.
The Sindh Chief Minister warmly welcomed the Saudi delegation, which was accompanied by several members of his cabinet, including: Mr. Sharjeel Inam Memon, Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho, Mr. Saeed Ghani, Mr. Nasir Hussain Shah, Mr. Akram Darjoo, and the Secretary General of the Government.
Representatives from the Pakistan Business Council and the Foreign Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OICCI), along with a delegation from the Saudi Embassy in Islamabad, also participated in the meeting.
Mr. Murad Ali Shah praised the fraternal and historical relations between Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, emphasizing that Sindh province is fully prepared to be the gateway to economic growth for Pakistan, thanks to its resources and strategic location.
He noted that the Sindh government has taken significant steps to facilitate the business environment, including digitizing land records and streamlining investment procedures, explaining that providing a reform-based investment environment is a top priority for his government.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the partnership with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the cornerstone of the region’s future economic development, adding that the Sindh government’s development vision is closely aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.
During the meeting, Mr. Shah gave a detailed presentation on 12 priority investment sectors in the province, calling on Saudi companies to explore opportunities in agriculture, energy, infrastructure, logistics, and various industries. This visit comes as part of efforts to strengthen economic and trade relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and to open new horizons for joint investment that serve the mutual interests of the two brotherly countries.
