Riyadh International Book Fair 2025 started at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University in Riyadh.It runs from October 2 to October 11, 2025.
The organizing body is the Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission of Saudi Arabia.Over 2,000 publishing houses from more than 25 countries are participating.
More than 200 cultural events (seminars, lectures, poetry readings, workshops) are included in the program.
A business zone is included to support publishing industry collaboration, copyright / licensing dialogues, and partnerships.
Featured Nation & Cultural Exchange:Uzbekistan is this year’s guest of honor.
Its pavilion showcases manuscripts, literary works, cultural performances, and collaborations with Saudi arts bodies (e.g., Theater, Performing Arts Commission).
Local & Innovative Exhibits
A notable booth is Qessati (My Story) — it creates personalized storybooks that incorporate a child’s name, photo, interests, etc.
The Saudi Institute of Public Administration has a strong presence, displaying legal, scientific, and management publications.
The event is designed to attract both the general public and industry professionals.
Cultural Diplomacy & Regional Relations:
The fair is viewed as a platform not just for bookselling but for cultural diplomacy, connecting Saudi Arabia with other nations through literature and arts.
Pakistani participants include panels on “Shared Voices: Literature & Art,” promoting Urdu‑Arabic literary exchange.
